"Ma Gog" drypoint etching on paper
Ma Gog is inspired by the Gog Magog hills in South Cambridgeshire, UK. In the spring they are covered in a carpet of yellow cowslips and fresh green grass. Ma Gog is an imaginary pagan goddess of the Cambridgeshire landscape inspired by the ideas of T C Lethbridge who excavated the area looking for an ancient chalk hill giant.
Each print is unique as the colours are slightly different but I made two prints from this plate that I was happy with.
